NFC & The Physical Artwork

What is an NFC and how does it work?

All artworks can include a small NFC chip discreetly embedded within the piece or its certificate.

When a collector taps the work with a smartphone, they can instantly access the verified digital archive connected to that artwork.

This archive may include documentation, provenance records, exhibition history, or contextual material.

The physical artwork and its digital record remain quietly connected - without changing the experience of the work itself.

NFC (Near Field Communication) is a wireless technology that allows devices to exchange information when they are placed very close together, usually within a few centimeters. Today, NFC is commonly used in smartphones to quickly access digital content, make contactless payments, or interact with smart tags embedded in objects.
